Among the chants you might hear commemorates a devastating episode in the history of Manchester United.

Commemorating the tragic event known as the Munich Air Disaster the chant goes:

We’ll never Die
United's flag is deepest red
It shrouded all our Munich dead
Before their limbs grew stiff and cold
Their heart's blood dyed it's ev'ry fold
Then raise United's banner high
Beneath it's shade we'll live and die
So keep the faith and never fear

We'll keep the Red Flag flying here
We'll never die, we'll never die
We'll never die, we'll never die
We'll keep the Red flag flying high
'Cos Man United will never die

The Munich air disaster took place on 6 February 1958, when British European Airways Flight 609 crashed in attempt to take off from a slushy runway at the airport in Munich, West Germany. On board the plane was the Manchester United football team, along with a number of supporters and journalists. 20 of the 44 people on board the aircraft died in the crash, three more later died in hospital. Amongst the dead were eight Manchester United players and three club officials. At the time of the crash, Manchester United were the most exciting team England had ever seen and had been champions of England for two years running.

United eventually rose again and within a decade their manager, Matt Busby, who had been seriously injured in the crash, had built a new team that became the first English club to win the European Cup when they defeated Benfica 4-1 at Wembley in 1968.

Busby later described that night as "the greatest and most memorable event of my life. The moment that Bobby Charlton took the European Cup it, well, cleansed me," he said."It eased the pain of guilt I had of taking the club into Europe. It was my justification." Busby was not a man known to shed tears but many people saw him cry that day -- May 29, 1968. A dream he thought had died with the team in the snow of Munich, had finally come true after all.

You cannot help be touched by the feelings aroused in the Stadium while We’ll Never Die is chanted, and the opportunity to witness such emotion has to be seen as an added value to your Manchester United tickets.

Getting Manchester United Tickets for the big away games in October and November

There are an estimated 50 million Manchester United supporters around the world, , and most of those supporters dream of getting their hands on Manchester United tickets to see their team play live. However, during the next couple of months Manchester United Tickets are going to be ever scarcer than usual.

Tickets to see the Red Devils play are always amongst the most sought after football tickets in the world: but this month they play Liverpool and in November they play Chelsea. Tickets to any Manchester United game are hard to find, but when they play these two champion teams, chances of locating tickets becomes almost impossible.

In October, Manchester United plays an away game at Liverpool. Liverpool is the most successful club in the history of English football, having won more trophies than any other English club. They have won a record 18 First Division titles, and seven FA Cups. Liverpool has also won five European Cups, which is an English record. They have awon the League Cup a record seven times! Liverpool's home field can hold 45,400 fans, but only 2000 seats are available for Away Fans.

Manchester United plays at Stamford Bridge, the home of the Chelsea Football Club in November. FC Chelsea is considered one of the most talented in Europe, with the club having won three league titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups and two UEFA Cup Winners' Cups! Chelsea's normal seat allocation to Away Fans is only about three thousand.

Even the most devoted Manchester United fan can find trying to obtain tickets frustrating and tiring. If a member of One United, a fan might get lucky and get a ticket through their lottery system, but most will have to try the big ticketing agencies, which will charge not only premium prices, but also a hefty service fee. An alternate method is to buy from one of the many internet sites claiming to have tickets to sell. If using this method you’re your research first. Some sites sell tickets they don’t even have in their possession! Ask for recommendations from fellow fans, post on notice boards, and if you do end up attending a match after buying Manchester United Tickets on line as a result of a positive interaction with an on-line site, post about it so that others might also benefit.

How to buy Manchester United Tickets

Manchester United have dominated the FA premier League since it began in 1992, and this year Manchester United tickets will once again be hard to find. Despite Ronaldo defecting to Real Madrid, the Club will continue to be a force to be reckoned with, at Old Trafford, and on the road. Watching a match on television doesn’t compare to the thrill of being at the game and watching Berbatov, Rooney, Anderson Ferdinand and Carrick live. You have to be there to see the action, feel the intensity, to hear every nuance, and to truly appreciate the glory of the team!

Unfortunately Manchester United Tickets rarely come up for sale to the general public. Joining the One United club is one option when trying to buy Manchester United tickets. Members of the One United Club have an opportunity to participate in regular lotteries for tickets. However, because there are so many members and so few tickets available, their chances are not great, but at least there is a possibility they might score.

The two other methods of getting Manchester United tickets are buying through ticket-brokers or buying off one of the many internet sites that advertise tickets. However, both options have their advantages and drawbacks. Reputable ticket brokers can almost always be trusted to have the tickets they advertise, however, the brokers not only charge premium prices, they will also add on a hefty service fee. Tickets bought this way are almost always the most expensive.

Buying Manchester United tickets off one of the many internet ticket agencies is not necessarily as straight forward as it might first seem to be. There are many scammers out there to beware of. Many web sites will advertise tickets they do not even have. If you do decide to buy Manchester United tickets on-line, do your research first. Ask around: check fan bulletin boards to see if anyone has posted about a good or a bad experience with a particular agency. Ask for recommendations. When communicating with the agency you eventually decide to use, ask up-front if they actually have the tickets they are advertising in their inventory. Ask about delivery methods, if there is a guarantee that you will receive the tickets you are buying in sufficient time to allow you to attend the game.

If you have a good experience buying Manchester United tickets through a particular on-line agency, share your experience: post about your dealing on fan boards so that others also can benefit and buy Manchester United tickets from the reputable and reliable internet ticket agency you used.
